EBONY ERRINGTON-BEECH

We first stumbled across Ebony when she was just 10 years old and a piece of her's appeared in a collection along with one of our other writers.

'Poems For A Pandemic' spoke about life during lock-down and focused on special moments from that period. Her piece was dedicated to the then Captain Tom Moore and we could sense from that one piece just how much this burgeoning writer had to offer.

Little did we know just how deep that well of talent sat and how inspirational she would be as a human. Her talents caught the eye of not just us; she has appeared on BBC's 'Countryfile' in the UK and the 'Kelly Clarkson Show' in America and is being mentored by non-other than Joe Biden's inauguration poet and inspiration to a generation, Amanda Gorman.

Ebony's first solo collection 'Poems I Grew In My Garden' was published in January 2021 when she had just turned 11. Sensitively illustrated by Melanie Kemp, this beautiful book is fused with nature, wonder and empathy and truly belies her years. Driven by her passion for nature and trees in particular, all profits from this book go to her 'Plant A Tree With Ebony' campaign;

Rewilding and reforestation in England.

Her second collection is already taking shape and we can't wait to see what the future has store for this wonderful young lady.

“Ebony writes her poems with a maturity beyond her tender years . Her insight into the different topics she explores in her poetry show a real depth & understanding . Would definitely recommend purchasing this book especially as the proceeds go to planting trees”

Angela Marston: Editor of 'Poems For A Pandemic'

“What an accomplished collection! The innocent lens of childhood, complimented by an old soul; poems so beautifully crafted and a joy to read. A triumphant first work.”
